Taffy Longvue, aka Robin Westle, Is Back With More Fabulous Adventures on October 22 and 29

That maven of fabulousness is back! Robin Westle, the creator, producer and host of Robin’s Nest, the successful variety show/ benefit series, returns with her solo show, The Adventures of Taffy Longvue, about finding your own FABULOUSNESS, on two Sundays: October 22 at 8 PM and October 29 at 7 PM at Don’t Tell Mama. Taffy is Robin’s inner drag persona, the playful side of her personality. The in-demand Taffy now has even more to share about her life’s mission – fabulosity for all! The Adventures of Taffy Longvue is described in press notes as “a joyous, positive entertainment, featuring glorious music from Sondheim to Duncan Sheik to Lady Gaga to the Spice Girls, with fabulous backup singing.”  Megan Dorn and Rin Allen are the back-up vocalists.

In contrast
to Westle’s very popular philanthropically-based Robin’s Nest cabaret shows, which support the HelpUsAdopt organization, The Adventures of Taffy Longvue is an exploration of the very personal side of Westle. “The name Taffy Longvue came out of a conversation I had with a friend about a drag show I’d just seen,” she reveals. That exchange was about finding your own drag name. Out of that, an idea began to take form. “The more I thought about that conversation,” Westle adds, “the more I began going down paths of self-exploration. I came to realize there was something profound inside me – something positive and happy-making – that needed to find outside expression.” Through song and narrative in The Adventures of Taffy Longvue, which she debuted earlier this year, Westle recaps how she found her own “fabulous deeper self,” and shares new insights into how everyone else can, too. Westle and the Taffy side of her persona emphasize the fun and fanciful aspects of living with the goal of being one hundred percent FABULOUS!

The Adventures of Taffy Longvue, a show about finding your own FABULOUSNESS, is directed by the award-winning producer-performer-director Eric Michael Gillett, who also directed Westle’s two prior solo shows, Why Are You Telling Me? and No Regrets.

Music Director is Andrew David Sotomayor, with bassist Tom Hubbard and percussionist Arei Sekiguchi.
