The nonprofit West Coast concert series Jazz at the Ballroom swings East with an album release concert of Swinging in the Holidays, featuring vocalists Champian Fulton (plus piano), Michael Wyatt and Olivia Chindamo. This Holiday Jazz Brunch plays on Sunday, December 21 at 1:00 PM at 54 Below. Musicians include Ken Peplowski (clarinet, saxophones) Alex Raderman drums) and Mike Kam (bass).
JATB is a non-profit concert series created in 2016 by Suzanne Waldowski, a jazz aficionado who began offering concerts in the ballroom of her then-home in Hillsborough, CA, once owned by Bing Crosby. Having grown up in a household that revered the Great American Songbook, and inspired by jazz impresario,` Norman Granz, who produced the legendary Jazz at the Philharmonic tours and recordings, Waldowski was inspired to find unique ways to share the music she loved with new audiences.
