Sue’s Muse: An Interview with Mark Hartman

BONUS POST! In this interview I speak with the co-producer, alongside David Sabella (Bella Vox), of the upcoming 2025 Fiesta de Cabaret, a 10-day, cabaret boot camp to be held in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We chat about the program and the very exciting guest singers who are scheduled to participate: Natalie Douglas, Lennie Watts and Mia Pinero, plus the incredible staff of venue Act2PV who will also perform—David Sabella, Lina Koutrakos and David Maiocco. AND the incredible music directors scheduled:   Tracy Stark, David Maiocco and Yazuhiko Fukuoka. Performances will be in the Red Room at Act2PV and all participants will not only be singing but performing daily as part of the program. Of course there’s also a lot of down time to enjoy the beach! I know you already know him, but take a minute to find out why and  how Mark Hartman set up cabaret boot camp PV.

Register for Fiesta de Cabaret here. Listen to testimonials from last year’s participants here.

Here are more details about FIESTA de CABARET 2025, from November 3-12, at Act2PV cabaret multiplex:

The cabaret festival is an eight-show series with opening night a group show featuring all the staff of Fiesta de Cabaret. Following nights are as described above and in the video. The cabaret workshop is an educational program in which ten singers will have the opportunity to work with cabaret industry professionals to hone their craft. Daily group classes, seminars, shows by luminaries in the field, and nightly opportunities to perform make this a rare learning experience. Cost: $2,250 (US$). Flights, accommodations and meals are not included. Applications will be accepted through July 19.
