Sue’s Muse: An Interview with Leanne Borghesi and Marta Sanders

Two…not one but TWO…of my favorite broads on the planet!

Meet a Broadway and cabaret legend, a lady who “schooled” us all at the MAC Awards a few years ago when she performed after receiving a Board of Director’s Award: she almost literally blew the roof off Lincoln Center with her incredible performance. And she’s a lady that I have loved, not just with “cabaret love” but truly loved for many, many years. She sets the bar and the standard of what we should all strive for…joy is performance backed by real talent.

Now, for the “new kid on the block” (not really); she is a seasoned performer in her own right who I only refer to as the “new kid” because she came to New York to take this city by storm while being a well-known and highly-acclaimed singer on the West coast. The pair met at a Richard Skipper event and the rest is history. She too has one of those incredibly impressive voices and is as nice as she is talented and beautiful.

They are both different and compatible. They are loud and proud, singing both BIG and finessed. They are funny.  They are The Show Broads…Marta Sanders and Leanne Borghesi…

Check out Marta’s website, and Leanne‘s.

Here’s a fun sizzle reel of The Show Broads performing!

For tickets to their shows: October 25 @ 1:00 PM and October 26 @ 4:00 PM, and to their appearances at the NY Cabaret Convention on October 21 @ 6:00 PM
