Sue’s Muse: An Interview with Beth Falcone and Ritt Henn

THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL SUE’S MUSE! Trust me, you are going to want to click on every single link below to get to know this WONDERFUL couple. You can also come to see them in this year’s 2-part, 10th Anniversary performance of their Holiday Survival Kit at Winter Rhythms on Saturday, December 6 at 3:00 and 6:00 PM, with a party in between!

Singer, songwriter, composer, music director, singing technique teacher, host, educator, certified Vocologist and also the 2022 PAVA Award Winner for her impressive body of work stressing equality and diversity in the classes, she guest teaches in our public school system and also hosts a group called “Voice Care Book Club” (see link below). She plays at least 20 (if not more) instruments. She is what every performer should be…curious! She explores and discovers new ways to make music and features them in her performances and classes with the wide-eyed wonder and wild abandonment of a child at play.

Speaking of a child at play…he is very tall man with an impish quality. He is funny. He is a singer, songwriter, bassist, ukulele-ist (is that a word?), musician, band leader and winner of a 2025 MAC Award. He has been a sideman for many of us over the years, but he too, like his wife, is a superstar in his own right. He did his own one-man show called A Man & His Bass to very high acclaim. He can make a bass sound like a cello, plays bow (arco) like nobody’s business and often physiccally plays his upright bass as if it was a guitar. He currently plays for some of our most notable singers: Liz Callaway, Jeff Harnar, Barbara Fasano and Eric Comstock, and Amanda McBroom…ya know…just to drop a few names!

They are two, individually and extraordinarily talented people who are married not only to the business but also to each other. Get to know the delightful Beth Falone and Ritt Henn.

They both do SO much that I have extra links for you today! Enjoy them all!
