Sue’s Muse: An Interview with Ava Nicole Frances

This young woman is one of my favorite performers on the scene today. A theater baby, she literally can sing any genre: pop, Broadway, classical, American Songbook, jazz, blues… she’s extraordinary. She made it pretty far in the American Idol competition, so we chat about that process a bit. She’s a favorite of Susie Mosher’s and often appears on The Line Up. She’s been appearing in an Off Off Broadway show called Oliva O, about the timely subject of immigration offenses. She was just nominated for her first MAC Award for Original Song AND she’s just released her new album …can you say “over achiever?” Her album release show is at The Green Room 42 on May 16 at 7 PM. And actually, all of this is just a day in the life of the remarkable Ava Nicole Frances…
