Pianist-singer Steve Ross appears at the Birdland Theatre on Monday, Dec. 17th at 8:30 PM and Tuesday, December 18th at 7 PM. The title of the show is HERE’S TO US – Festive Songs of Love and Friendship, spurred by Ross’ wish to “leave the world of Rue and Regret and focus on Friendship, Romance and… Encouragement!”
The show will feature a group of Christmas melodies from Ross’ latest CD It’s Almost Christmas Eve, including a collaboration with Frederick Chopin, who composed the melody of the eponymous title song with a lyrics set by Ken Hirsch and Rosie Casey. It’s Almost Christmas Eve is a compilation CD featuring Ross and a group of friends, including SuEllen Estey, Benjamin Weil and Ron Spivak.
