Songwriters Anya Turner and Robert Grusecki Debut “Joy and Love” at Sid Gold’s Request Room on Tuesdays, September 16, October 14 and November 11

Singer-songwriters Anya Turner and Robert Grusecki debut a new show, Joy and Love at Sid Gold’s Request Room on Tuesday, September 16 for three performances: Tuesdays September 16, October 14 and November 11, all at 7:30 PM. Joining Grusecki at the keys is bassist Tod Hedrick.

This evening of songs and stories is inspired by the artistry of trailblazers suuch as painter Mary Cassatt, poet Emily Dickinson, early 20th century blues singer Gladys Bentley, author Virginia Woolf and other compelling artists, including the songwriting duo themselves. The award-winning pair will include songs from their two most recent albums, Mid-Century Modern and Secret Lovers, as well as other favorites, spanning 30 years of their songwriting and personal partnership.

Reserve here. A cash cover of $15 is collected at the door. There is a 2-drink minimum (cash or credit card accepted). Sid Gold’s Request Room has a very limited menu of snacks and a full bar.
