Another edition of Songbook Sundays plays at Dizzy’s Club on Sunday, December 21 at 5 PM and 7:30 PM. Let’s Call the Whole Thing Gershwin features voalists Linda Purl, Nicolas King and Imani Rousselle. Music Director and pianist Ted Rosenthal leads a band of all-stars including Noriko Ueda, bass; Tim Horner, drums; and alto saxophone player Erena Terakubo.
Hosted by Deborah Grace Winer, the show kicks off Christmas week celebrating perennial songbook favorites George and Ira Gershwin— from “I Got Rhythm” and “Embraceable You” to “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off” and everything in between.
