The singing educational collaborative, Singnasium, has announced its summer schedule of classes, now in full swing and completely online. Offered are the most popular musical genres and styles taught by an award-winning line-up of highly accomplished New York teaching artists—each dedicated to providing a safe, non-judgmental place for artists and singers of all levels to explore their creativity. The classes cover musical theater, cabaret, country, jazz and rock, as well as musicianship, vocal training, arranging and self-taping.
Led by Artistic Director Lennie Watts, Singnasium teaching artists include Grammy Award-winning songwriter Julie Gold (“From a Distance”); Tony Award nominee Sharon McNight (Starmites); and multi award-winning Broadway, recording and cabaret star Karen Mason (Sunset Boulevard, Mama Mia, And The World Goes ‘Round), Gabrielle Stravelli, Kristine Zbornik, Brad Simmons, Michael Holland, Carmen Cancél, Ted Stafford, Joshua Zecher-Ross, Lisa Asher, Ashton Corey and Watts.
Singnasium will also be holding a monthly online open mic, “Singapalooza” on Thursday, July 16 and Aug. 20, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Email Singapalooza@singnasium.org by 3 pm on the day of to register and to receive a zoom link. Free to join.
