MAC Award nominee Renee Katz will reprise her show, Only From The Heart Can You Touch The Sky, this Monday, November 26, at Don’t Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street – between 8th & 9th Avenue) at 7:00 PM. Accompanying Katz will be MAC Award nominee pianist /musical director John M. Cook. Peter Schlosser is the director.
Katz, who survived a major life trauma at age 17, and who believes every moment is precious, has filled the show with music she especially loves to sing—from buried treasures to the familiar songs with arrangements she’s worked on over the years, as well as new ones created just for this show. Katz also praises Cook as one “who loves to delve into the music as deeply as I do, especially in terms of phrasing and the “small gestures” that make Cabaret the the unique art form that it is.”
