From Idol finalist to R&B phenomenon, vocalist Gabby Samone plays at City Winery on Wednesday, August 27 at 8:00 PM.
Following her TV debut on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” with a run as a finalist on Season 23 of “American Idol.” Raised in a musically gifted family, Samone discovered her love for music in the gospel harmonies of her Baltimore, MD church choir. Her unique style blends timeless influences of gospel and R&B with fresh, modern perspectives in tunes such as Mariah Carey’s “My All,” which took TikTok by storm during the #MyAllChallenge. Samone has opened for R&B legends Keke Wyatt and Kelly Price; landed a role in her first major production, Dreamgirls and performed at the historic Apollo Theater alongside musician and musical director Adam Blackstone.
