Theater star and Nashville recording artist Rachel Potter celebrates her new album Stages with a concert at The Laurie Beechman Theater on Monday, August 11 at 7:00 PM. She will be joined by an array of special guests, including Tony Award winner Ali Stroker, Matt DeAngelis, Omar Cardona, Marty Thomas and Voctave’s Jamey Ray and EJ Cardona, many of whom appear on the album.
Stages is a curated collection of re-imagined Broadway classics, showcasing Potter’s roots in musical theater and her passion for reinterpreting these iconic songs with full symphonic arrangements. A listening experience that feels both classic and contemporary, Stages embraces recent stage musicals whose songs aren’t often heard outside the context of the show. Songs include “The Life of the Party” (Andrew Lippa, from The Wild Party), “Some Things Are Meant to Be” (Jason Howland & Mindi Dickstein, from Little Women: The Musical), “My Days” (Ingrid Michaelson, from The Notebook), “Maybe This Time” (John Kander & Fred Ebb, from Cabaret) and more.
The cover charge ranges from $40-$55. For tickets, click here.
