Ruth Bonnet arrived in Manhattan in 1988, fell in love with Grove Street, and was adopted by its inhabitants. She performed a cabaret of parodies at the old Duplex (Alive and Sticking). She quit corporate America to become a Davenport’s singing waitress, where she worked with the legendary Michael McAssey.
Boston’s Diane Ellis has run the gamut of gigs, including as an opening act for comics at the Playboy Club . She’s been a singer/voiceover artist/actress/model/dancer/Las Vegas showgirl/clown and an opening act for Don Rickles. Ellis also starred in Nunsense at the Las Vegas Hilton. She currently conducts a Glee Club for Seniors and sings at Club Café.
Actress and singer Ann Kittredge has performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway and at major venues across the country, working with top producers and directors throughout her extensive career. When she became a mother, she took a brief hiatus from performing to channel her undying theatrical passion into a new area: Performance Education, immersing herself in education advocacy, volunteer work and lending her voice to the voiceless, including a seat on the Community Education Council. She directed childrens’ plays, mentored children in acting, singing and auditioning, and introduced an after-school drama program at a NYC Public High School. Kittredge returned to performing several years ago, focusing on cabaret and creating several acclaimed shows. Pre-pandemic, she had just debuted a new show, Movie Nite at the Beach Café with music director Alex Rybeck.
Musical Director/pianist Michael Orland was part of the hit TV show “American Idol” for 16 seasons as the pianist, arranger, vocal coach and Associate Musical Director, both on FOX and ABC networks. He also served as music director/vocal coach on “Little Big Shots” and “Forever Young,” both hosted by Steve Harvey. Orland has appeared on “Oprah,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “Access Hollywood” and “The Ellen Show,” as well as having collaborated with Burt Bacharach, Neil Sedaka, Diane Warren, Elton John, Dolly Parton, Harry Connick Jr, Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban, among others. He also served as a pianist/coach for two seasons of the NBC series “America’s Got Talent” and a few seasons of “American Juniors.”
Teenager (she’s 18) singer, songwriter, musician, Eliza Stoehrer, has been playing music for as long as she can remember. Stoehrer is a drummer but also plays piano, guitar and ukulele. She wrote her first full song at 13, titled “Keep Your Head Up,” and has written many more since including “This One’s For You,” which she’ll perform on PBL!. She is excited to be part of Piano Bar Live!
