Michele Brourman

Michele Brourman’s first real jobs right after graduating from Northwestern, were in piano bars in Chicago. She moved on to playing jazz clubs, leading a trio and learning a lot about interacting with folks. These days, she performs almost entirely original songs and has been writing them for decades. “It’s like having a musical conversation with people in the room, talking about  feelings & experiences, since in a piano bar setting, there’s no 4th wall. You’re just together, making music & feeling the songs; comfortable, warm, easy,” said Brourman. “Michael McAssey, the host of Piano Bar Live, was one of the first cabaret artists to record my song ‘My Favorite Year.’ I’ve heard such wonderful recordings of the song, from Michael Feinstein to Margaret Whiting to Dame Cleo Laine. McAssey sings it beautifully & with so much heart. I’m excited that we’re going to perform ‘My Favorite Year’ together!”

Rhys Gilyeat

Rhys Gilyeat is a versatile and highly trained singer known for his extensive range and excellent musician skills. Expert sight reader, studio session singer and highly proficient at harmonies and quick-study. His voice is adaptable to pop, jazz, rock, theatre, etc.
