Jazz vocalist Nicole Henry celebrates her 21-years as a recording artist at Birdland on Monday, April 14 at 7 PM. The show features Shedrick Mitchell, piano; Richie Goods, bass; Mike Piolet, drums and Freddie Hendricks, trumpet

Henry, a recipient of a Soul Train Award for “Best Traditional Jazz Performance.” She has also garnered four Top-10 jazz albums on the U.S. Billboard, JazzWeek, HMV Japan, and U.K. Sweet Rhythms charts. Henry continues to enjoy worldwide play on both Sirius XM’s Real Jazz & Watercolors stations. The New York Times, Miami Herald, and Jazz Times magazine have compared her to Sarah Vaughan, Natalie Cole and Whitney Houston for her dynamic range, impeccable phrasing, and ability to connect to a lyric.
