Shuttered during the pandemic, but offering livestreams, sidewalk concerts and outdoor dining, Smoke Jazz Club is fully reopening, with a four-night grand reopening concert celebration from Thursday, July 21 through Sunday, July 24. Since closing in March 2020, Smoke has been renovated, with newly expanded space into two adjacent storefronts. These combined spaces allow for an attached lounge with a full-length bar and a larger stage for performers in the main listening room.
The upcoming concert schedule is as follows (note: all showtimes are Thursday through Sunday at 7 PM and 9 PM and on Friday and Saturday, also at 10:30 PM)

• August 25-28 Rudresh Mahanthappa Trio: Charlie Parker Celebration, with Harish Raghavan and Rudy Royston
• September 1-4 Al Foster Quintet: Smoke Sessions CD release, with tenor saxophonist Chris Potter, plus pianist Kevin Haysand more.
