Pianist-vocalist Eric Comstock and vocalist Barbara Fasano bring their showmanship home to Birdland Jazz with So Nice to Come Home To on Saturday, November 29 at 5:30 PM. Rounding out the quartet are their longtime collaborators Sean Smith (bass) and Vito Lesczak (drums).
November 29 is composer Billy Strayhorn’s 110th birthday and two weeks before Frank Sinatra’s 110th birthday. Their set will include salutes to both these brilliant artists, as well as new tunes and a few favorites from their recent album, Painting the Town. This multi-award-winning married musical couple’s repertoire, drawn from an ever-evolving American Songbook, includes classics by Duke Ellington, Harold Arlen and Cole Porter to singer-songwriters including Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Carole King and Bruce Springsteen.
