Multiple award-winning singer and songwriter, Meg Flather, debuts at The Beach Café on Friday, February 21 at 9:30 PM. Flather presents Cockeyed Optimist, revisiting material from past shows with some new material added to the mix. Cockeyed Optimist features an eclectic mix of songs written by songwriting giants of musical theater and pop, including Rodgers & Hammerstein, Richard Maltby & David Shire, Paul Simon, Carly Simon, Harry Chapin, Joan Armatrading and a few Meg Flather originals. The show shares the singer’s journey through the overlapping worlds of cabaret performance and home shopping television, all while looking for love and navigating loss in a dramatically changing world. Cockeyed Optimist is directed by multiple-award winner, Lennie Watts with musical direction from multiple-award winner, Tracy Stark.
