Marissa Miller Makes Her Green Room 42 Debut on December 19, 2017

Marissa Miller, a Broadway understudy and Glinda on the Wicked Second National Tour, makes her Green Room 42 debut on Tuesday, December 19, with a new solo show, In the Meantime. The actress, who is also a member of the vintage female vocal trio, America’s Sweethearts, is in homage mode, promising to put on her bombshell persona for the show. Miller also aims to deliver over-the-top, soaring vocals and zany comedy reminiscent of Hollywood’s Golden Age. In the Meantime honors the songs she especially adores, made famous by Carol Burnett, Ella Fitzgerald, Debbie Reynolds, Judy Garland and Kristin Chenoweth. Miller also sings contemporary musical theatre numbers with old- fashioned charm and quirky spirit.

The Green Room 42 is one of New York City’s newest cabaret rooms and live performance venues. Geared to “urban entertainment,” the club is located on the fourth floor of the happening YOTEL, 570 Tenth Avenue, at West 43 Street. It’s a spacious room which features a wide style of entertainment, with no food and drink minimums. The stage is small, but the room is large and comfortable. The vibe is hip and often funky. Five reservation times are spaced 15 minutes apart, allowing for a smooth traffic flow into the room. Patrons with earlier reservations are seated nearest the stage. There’s only one show per night, with guests encouraged to linger and enjoy the club in a relaxed atmosphere.
