Award-winning vocalist, Marieann Meringolo, returns to the stage, on Wednesday, August 4th through Saturday, August 7th at 7:30 pm, debuting her tribute show Between Yesterday and Tomorrow: The Songs of Alan & Marilyn Bergman at Paper Mill Playhouse’s Brookside Cabaret.
Directed by Will Nunziata with music direction by Doyle Newmyer, audiences will hear favorites such as “The Way We Were,” “How Do You Keep the Music Playing?,” “Where Do You Start?,” “Nice ’n’ Easy,” “That Face”, “The Windmills of Your Mind”, “It Might Be You” and more. In addition to Newmyer, musicians are bassist Josh Marcum and drummer Brian Woodruff.
Between Yesterday and Tomorrow celebrates the three-time Academy Award–winning songwriting team of Alan and Marilyn Bergman. The Bergmans have written lyrics not only for numerous television shows, films and stage musicals, but also for some of the most acclaimed singers of our time including Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, Michael Jackson, Johnny Mathis, and notably, Barbra Streisand, who has recorded 64 of their songs.
Additionally, a new song, recorded by Meringolo, “I Am Blessed,” written by Marsha Malamet and Mark Mueller and arranged and orchestrated by Stephan Oberhoff, has been released, available at all digital outlets.
