Bistro and MAC Hanson Award winning vocalist, Lucille Carr-Kaffashan, brings her Beatles show, Eight Days A Week, to Don’t Tell Mama, on Thursday, March 27 at 7 PM (and on Sunday, April 27 at 4 PM). She will be joined by her award-winning band members, music director-pianist Jeff Cubeta, also on back-up vocals, as well as bassist Matt Scharfglass and drummer Don Kelly. David Hilder directs.
The show is a celebration of the upcoming 60th anniversary of The Beatles’ first Shea Stadium concert in August 1965, weaveing Carr-Kaffashan’s memories of the concert and her life-long connection to The Beatles. Her collection of songs represent the different styles and moods of their songbook, a reimagining of In My Life, a show created 20 years ago by Carr-Kaffashan and music director David Brunetti.
There is a $15 music charge, plus a $20 (must include two drinks) minimum per person at each performance. Cash only. Tickets at donttellmamanyc.com
Don’t Tell Mama is located at 343 West 46th Street in New York City, between 8th and 9th Avenues.
