Like the Metropolitan Opera before it, Lincoln Center has cancelled what remains of 2020-2021 performances for for the American Songbook Series, the Great Performers spring series and the David Rubenstein Atrium spring season due to the ongoing pandemic. No live performances of these series will happen at least through May 9, 2021.
Lincoln Center programming has, of course, been virtual since the pandemic lockdown; the organization will continue to serve audiences through Lincoln Center at Home. Programming on this service features performances and arts education, much of it derived through commissioning artists to create new works and by filming small-scale, socially-distanced performances on its outdoor campus.
