The next edition of Klea Blackhurst’s “The Box Set,” Dreaming of a Song: The Music of Hoagy Carmichael, features singer-pianist Billy Stritch, on Sunday, September 15 at 7 PM at Chelsea Table + Stage.
“The Box Set,” a series of shows of past presentations, gives Blackurst’s longtime followers the chance to revisit her outstanding body of work, while also allowing a new generation of theater and music fans to discover them. In this edition, the duo of Blackhurst-Stritch mine the Hoagy Carmichael catalog to unearth lesser-known gems, as well as treasures such as “Skylark,” “Georgia on My Mind,” “Stardust” and more.
