Singer-actor Klea Blackhurst appears in Everything the Traffic Will Allow, her tribute to the songs made famous by stage personality Ethel Merman, on Sunday, March 10 at 7:00 PM at Chelsea Table + Stage. The evening features arrangements by Michael Rice and music direction by Bruce Barnes
Rather than a Merman imitation, Blackhurst offers a paean to the great Broadway legend that serves as a potent reminder of Merman’s undeniable importance to both the history of twentieth century entertainment and the iconic composers such as Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Jerry Herman, who wrote songs just for the star. .
Tickets are $25-$45, in addition to a service charge and a two-item food and beverage minimum. A livestream option is available for $20.
