Broadway star and concert artist Karen Mason presents her holiday show Christmas! Christmas! Christmas! at The Laurie Beechman Theater from Friday, December 17 through Sunday, December 19 at 7:00 PM. The shows feature Mason’s interpretations of holiday classics old and new, with musical director Christopher Denny on piano and Tom Hubbard on bass.
The show also celebrates Mason’s new CD, Let the Music Play and the new music video for the song “We Never Ran Out of Love (We Just Ran Out of Time),” available on YouTube, edited by Michael Lee Stever. Let the Music Play is available in all digital formats and on CD from Zevely Records and is a collection of theater music, pop classics and new compositions. Special guests on the album include Stephen Schwartz, who plays piano on a tender version of the beloved Wicked ballad “For Good,” and David Friedman, who accompanies Mason on his poignant standard “We Can Be Kind.” The album features arrangements by Christopher Denny and Barry Kleinbort, with contributions from Dick Gallagher and Brian Lasser.
Mason has starred on Broadway, Off-Broadway, television, in concert, and in the recording studio. She’s a 13-time MAC Award winner, most recently she was the recipient of the 2019 MAC Lifetime Achievement Award, and was honored with the MAC Award for Major Female Vocalist of the Year for six consecutive years.
