The veteran stage, screen and recording artist appears in Jennifer Roberts: She Loves Sheldon! on Tuesday, April 22 at The Green Room 42 at 7 PM. Music director-pianist Tedd Firth is joined by bassist Steve Doyle. Director is Lance Roberts.
Jennifer Roberts: She Loves Sheldon!, on what would have been Harnick’s 101st birthday, is based on Robert’s decade-long correspondence with the Tony Award-and Pulitzer Prize-winning lyricist and composer, Sheldon Harnick, and features hits from Harnick’s greatest and most-popular outings, including Fiddler On The Roof and She Loves Me. There are several hidden gems—rarely/if ever heard songs by the three-time Tony Award winner, with arrangements by Tedd Firth in varied styles: jazz-infused, a little blues and more. For a special treat, Roberts will perform three songs that Harnick personally presented to her that were either never in print or out of print.
