Celebrate Cole Porter’s birth with Jeff Harnar and It’s De-Lovely: Cole Porter’s Birthday on Monday, June 9 at 7:00 PM at Birdland. Music director-pianist Alex Rybeck leads a trio featuring Ritt Henn – bass and Dan Gross – drums.
Harnar’s repertoire includes standards such as “Easy to Love,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “Begin the Beguine,” “What Is This Thing Called Love?” “Just One of Those Things” and surprises originally introduced by Danny Kaye and Jimmy Durante. Special guests are Grammy Winner Billy Stritch and Multi-Award Winning duo Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano.
