Cabaret performer, singer-songwriter Jackson Sturkey offers Against the Wall, coming up at the Triad Theater on April 20th at 7 PM. He’ll appear with his band, The Big Turn On, with an hour of original music.
Representing the East Village cabaret scene, Sturkey was a perennial player at Family Liquid Dinner Cabaret, Ten Foot Rat Cabaret, Plan B Variety, Frigid New York and many others. He curated shows such as “Jackson Sturkey and His Orchestra” to showcase talent from the East Village and Brooklyn— a “Mister Rogers Neighborhood” as if hosted by your drunk gay uncle.
