Frank Vignola’s Hot Jazz Guitar Trio is set to play at The Loft at City Winery on Monday, May 13 at 8 PM. Vignola, with guitarist Vinny Raniolo and bassist Gary Mazzaroppi, perform a wide repertoire of uniquely conceived arrangements, covering works from Beethoven and Bach to Paul Simon and Frank Zappa. The trio’s hot jazz playing also swings standards in fresh stylings with a contemporary, new twist.
Vignola’s guitar virtuosity has made him the player of choice for many of the world’s top musicians, including Ringo Starr, Madonna, Donald Fagen, Wynton Marsalis, Tommy Emmanuel, the Boston Pops, the New York Pops, and guitar legend Les Paul, who named Vignola to his “Five Most Admired Guitarists” list for the Wall Street Journal.
