There is one more opportunity to catch Deborah Stone’s latest show, “Siren Song” at Don’t Tell Mama on Thursday, December 14th @ 7pm. Siren Song, A Celebration of All Things Beguiling, has been described in NiteLife Exchange as a “high-spirited and fun show” and Deborah Stone as “an elegantly accessible diva of great charm”. Cabaret Scenes magazine reported the show as “incredibly intelligent and well thought-out” and added that Stone’s “secure vocal style can range from jazz to grand opera, and she can deliver a sexy lyric.” Critic Bart Greenberg declared “Glamour is back in New York. Coiffed, bejeweled, and begowned, Deborah Stone evokes the cabaret goddesses of the past.”
To cast their spell, Stone and her musical director, Daryl Kojak, weave a unique blend of songs and styles into a magical tapestry drawing audiences into songs by composers such as Cy Coleman, Cole Porter, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Lerner and Loewe, Steven Sondheim and Georges Bizet (yes, Bizet!)
