Performer David Rhodes presents Soir Noir, a nightclub confidential, on Thursday, October 10 at Don’t Tell Mama at 7 PM. Guest artist is Jake Oswell. Music director is Tracy Stark and director is Lennie Watts,
Soir Noir, which debuted at Provincetown’s Crown and Anchor, celebrates The Golden Era of nightclubs with an evening of classic standards from that sophisticated time.
Much of the great music of the 40s, 50s and 60s was first presented and developed around the piano at the private parties of New York and London’s social elite, before being popularized by the great artists of the day in nightclubs around the world. Soir Noir is a reimagining of one of those intimate evenings featuring the music of Cole Porter, Nat King Cole, Noel Coward and a roster of other artists from those formative decades.
Cover charge is $25.00 with a $20 minimum (must include two drinks) Cash only. To reserve, click here.https://shows.donttellmamanyc.com/8481-david-rhodes-soir-noir
