Jazz vocalist Ricard Cortez presents Sinatra with Style: Hits and Rare Gems at Birdland Jazz Club on Monday, May 26 at 7:00 PM, with an all-star band.
Known for his a extensive knowledge of the Great American Songbook, Cortez has shared the bandstand with some of the world’s most celebrated and respected jazz musicians including Sullivan Fortner, Kyle Poole, Peter Bernstein, Joe Farnsworth, Nicole Glover and more. Recent performances include Live at Emmet’s Place with the Emmet Cohen Trio and Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Jazz at Pride with Tony/Grammy Award winner Bryan Carter.
Cortez just wrapped a national tour promoting his album Mood Swings that included venues Cafe Vivace, The Black Cat and Catalina Club where he headlined his own show as well as opened for jazz legend Marilyn Maye.
