Club Cumming Productions (Alan Cumming, Daniel Nardicio and Samuel Benedict) has put together a virtual cabaret series exclusively on Stellar, a new premium streaming platform live performance. The current schedule begins with Amber Martin’s “Bette Bathhouse and Beyond” on Thursday, October 22 at 8 PM ET, and runs through the encore broadcast of “The Club Cumming Virtual Variety Show,” hosted by Alan Cumming, on Wednesday, November 18. All shows available for on-demand viewing for 24 hours after airing.
“Bette Bathhouse and Beyond” is a re-creation of the legendary Bette Midler concert at New York City’s Continental Baths in 1971, where she performed to an audience of men in towels—with Barry Manilow (Drew Brody) accompanying her on piano. The show was shot live at Fire Island’s Reflections house, with an audience of men just in towels.
On Tuesday, October 27 at 8:00 PM, Angela Di Carlo presents a special Halloween edition of “Attention Deficit Disorder *COBWEB* Cabaret” in front of a small audience at Club Cumming. Take a virtual stroll through the Dead Baby Graveyard with a slutty nurse in costume eating Pumpkin Spice potato chips. The show is a fun-filled evening of short original songs jimmy-jacked together for a speed round of fun, which has been entertaining and offending audiences for over five years. The show feature Kyle “Special K” Forester on piano and special haunted ghoulish guests along with spooky surprises!
Sharon Needles performs her Halloween special “Mask It or Casket!” on Thursday, October 29 at 9:00 PM (repeating on Halloween, October 31 at 12:00 Midnight). Special guests include Amanda Lepore, “RuPaul Drag Race” stars Alaska 5000 and Ajathekween, Michael Musto, Jada Valenciaga, Michael T, Greko, Michael Carbonaro, plus special appearances by Countess Luann from “Real Housewives of New York” and Alan Cumming.
Judy Golds “Vote Dammit!” on election eve, Monday, November 2nd at 9:00 PM is part rally cry, part catharsis, and much-needed laughter. Judy Gold is the author of the new book, Yes I Can Say That! When They Come for the Comedians, We’re All In Trouble, and the host of the hit podcast, “Kill Me Now.” Gold has had comedy specials on HBO, Comedy Central and LOGO. She has appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “The Tonight Show,” and currently plays the role of Chaya on FX’s “Better Things.” Bette Sussman is at the piano, with other special guests.
Cabaret superstar Ute Lemper brings “Rendezvous with Marlene” to the club on Tuesday, November 10 at 8:00 PM. The show is based on the true story of a phone call Ute received by the film legend 35 years ago in France. Directed by Daniel Nardicio, “Rendezvous with Marlene” includes some of Marlene’s most beautiful songs and some captivating secrets of her life shared during the three hour-plus call.
“The Club Cumming Virtual Variety Show,” hosted by Alan Cumming, will be presented as a two-part double feature on Wednesday, November 18 at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
