Singing actress Christina Pecce, performer in Jesus Christ Superstar (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, London’s Production at Chicago Lyric), makes her Feinstein’s/54 Below debut on Wednesday, June 20 at 9:30 PM, in Witches, Bitches, and Divas! Songs from musicals and operas, along with favorite standards, are given a fresh spin to “keep you enchanted and bewildered.” Featuring music from Annie to Women On The Verge, from Sweeney Todd to Carmen, this is a night of cross-over comedy, celebrating iconic roles, both onstage and off.
The WBD trio backs up Pecce. They are Matthew Stephens as music director/accompanist, Ulises Amaya on the bass and Jack Goode on the drums. Some surprise guests may materialize as well. One of them is certain to be Erin Willett (“The Voice” Season 2 Final 8, “The Biggest Loser” Season 17).
Pecce has performed WBD in Chicago, premiering the show at at Davenport’s Piano Bar, and in Boston. This is the New York debut of her one-woman cabaret act.
