Members of the original Broadway cast will celebrate Cool! The 60th Anniversary and Reunion of West Side Story, a Dancers Over 40 production, on Wednesday, September 27th at St. Luke’s Theatre, 308 West 46th Street. The once-in-a-lifetime event about this history-making show is open to all.

The 8 PM show pays tribute to one of the best-loved musicals of all-time, which opened at the Winter Garden Theatre on September 26, 1957. The spectacular panel of actor-singer-dancers includes Chita Rivera (Anita), Carol Lawrence (Maria), Tony Mordente (A-Rab), Martin Charnin (Big Deal), Grover Dale (Snowboy), Marilyn D’Honau (Clarice), Ronnie Lee (Nibbles), George Marcy (Pepe/Bernardo), Liane Plane (Marguerita), Jaime Sanchez (Chino) and David Winters (Baby John), who will share their thoughts, recollections and experiences in working with Leonard Bernstein, Jerome Robbins, Stephen Sondheim, Arthur Laurents and Peter Gennaro.
Matt Rodin will host the evening, which includes live performances by Drama Desk Award winner Jay Armstrong Johnson (On the Town, Sweeney Todd) and special guests, video, and plenty of photos on display.
Producing partners with Dancers Over 40 are Broadway and film producer, former dancer and Tony Award winner, Dennis Grimaldi (On the Town, A Gentleman’s Guide, Angels in America) and award-winning producer and actor Joey Dedio (Tio Papa, Musical Chairs,). Grimaldi and Dedio are currently working on a documentary on the making of West Side Story with the 21 remaining original cast members and creators.
