Celebrate Valentine’s week at Smoke Jazz Club with renowned vocalist Mary Stallings, from Wednesday, February 12 – Sunday, February 16, with sets at 7 PM and 9 PM, plus 10:30 PM on Firday and Saturday only. Stallings will be musically supported by pianist Aaron Goldberg, with bassist Peter Washington and drummer Joe Farnsworth.
Stallings and her trio deliver performances that swing with sophistication and soulful depth. Her upcoming shows will include special performances perfect for Valentine’s Day. She’s been described as a singer polished, self-possessed and deeply rooted in the blues. She’s also a master of the long tone, using it to hone in on emotional landscapes, leaving spaces that speak as powerfully as the notes themselves.
