Carolyn Montgomery Performs “girlSINGER,” a Tribute to Rosemary Clooney, on Wednesday, May 22 at 54 Below

MAC, Bistro and Nightlife Award-winning vocalist Carolyn Montgomery presents girlSINGER, a tribute to entertainment legend Rosemary Clooney , on Wednesday, May 22 at 7:00 PM at 54 Below. Music director Tedd Firth on piano is joined by Jonathan Kantor on saxophone and clarinet, Sherrie Maricle on drums and Tom Hubbard on bass, with special guest trumpeter Warren Vaché, a mainstay of Clooney’s band for years. Director is Tony Award nominee Sally Mayes.

The show is a celebration of all things Rosemary, and will include some of her iconic hits including “Hey There,” “Tenderly,” and “Come On-A My House.”

Montgomery has garnered her multiple awards for singing and songwriting and performing in New as well as major venues across the United States and London. She is also the current Executive Director of the American Songbook Association.

Mayes made her Broadway debut in Cy Coleman’s Welcome to the Club. Her performance won herca Theatre World Award and an Outer Critics Circle nomination as one of Broadway’s Outstanding Newcomers. Among many other credits she is also known for her performance in the Roundabout Theater revival of She Loves Me, for which she won Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle nominations.
