Cabaret Festival in Washington, DC, March 18-25, Features Familiar NYC Stars Kittredge, Koutrakos, Skipper and Bergman

Crazy Aunt Helen's Peacock Room

The first week-long National Cabaret Festival in Washington, DC, featuring headliners and up-and-coming stars will run from Saturday, March 18 through Saturday, March 25 at the Peacock Room in Crazy Aunt Helen’s restaurant/showroom. Booked at the festival are familiar New York City faces and cabaret stars Richard Skipper, Ann Kittredge, Lina Koutrakos and Anna Bergman.

Plate Spinners, Jugglers, …and Richard Skipper! Tales of a LIFETIME in Show Business opens the week on March 18, following with Anna Bergman on the 19th and a DC showcase on the 20th, hosted by local Susan Derry, featuring a curated line-up of up-and-coming young cabaret performers. Ann Kittredge appears on March 22, with Christopher Denny at the piano, followed on March 23 by Amanda King with “Forgotten Women, Lost Songs”—honoring the contributions and heroics of women jazz artists as well as amazing little-known song treasures. Seattle drag artist Arnaldo takes the stage on March 24, with Lina Koutrakos closing out the week on March 25. Additionally, Arnaldo and Koutrakos will also be co-teaching a master class on Saturday morning, March 25. Kittredge and King will each be teaching master classes on their respective performance date mornings.
 
Capital Cabaret is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to promoting the cabaret art form by entertaining, educating, and engaging audiences and artists through world-class performances. Capital Cabaret hosts monthly open mic events and cabaret workshops/master classes.
