MAC Award nominee Bob O’Hare will be performing a salute to the legendary Tony Award-winning actor-singer Robert Preston on Sundays, March 23 and 30 at 4 PM and Friday, April 4 at 7 PM Don’t Tell Mama. Accompaniment is by the Tom Nelson Trio (Tom Nelson, musical director-pianist; Tom Kirchmer, bassist; Peter Grant,Drummer). Special guests are Eric Michael Gillett (who also directs) and Gretchen Reinhagen.
Entitled, Bob O’Hare: We Take the Town, The Shows of Robert Preston, poceeds will benefit Benjamin House, Elizabeth City, North Carolina, an assisted-living facility for the mentally challenged. Included are many of the songs that this Tony Award winner introduced on Broadway, such as “Ya Got Trouble” (from The Music Man), “I Won’t Send Roses” (from Mack and Mabel), “My Cup Runneth Over” (from I Do, I Do), and “Half the Battle” (from), and more.
There is a $20.00 cover charge ($15.00 for MAC Members) plus a $20.00 minimum (must order two drinks), Cash only.
