Ann Talman’s “The Shadow of Her Smile” Encore, on Sunday, December 1 at Don’t Tell Mama, Benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS

Don’t Tell Mama will present two performances of Ann Talman: Elizabeth Taylor and The Shadow of Her Smile to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and to honor Elizabeth Taylor’s devotion to AIDS Awareness on World AIDS Day. The shows are 4 PM and 7 PM on Sunday, December 1, with music director-pianist alex Rybeck. Director is Lina Koutrakos.

The show is an evening of story and song about Tallman and Taylor’s amazing bond, filled with hilarious and touching stories woven through with Broadway and Great American Songbook gems.

Talman is an actor, singer, storyteller and award-winning documentary filmmaker. She joined Actors’ Equity with co-star Elizabeth Taylor in 1981 when she landed the plum role in The Little Foxes playing Taylor’s daughter on Broadway. The show traveled the world for eighteen months and their friendship lasted for the rest of Miss Taylor’s life.
