Ann Kittredge One Night Only: Wednesday, October 18 at Feinstein’s/54 Below

Returning to the stage after a long absence, having performed on and off Broadway, in regional theater, as well as in film and television, Ann Kittredge appears in Manhattan at Feinstein’s/54  on October 18 at 8 PM.  Her hiatus is described in press notes in this tongue-in-cheek manner: “a self-imposed ‘asylum’ while she raised her kids, loved her husband and stepped into the zany world of education advocacy in the NYC public school system. But she really wants to get back in the game and has a new hunger to claw her way back onto the Broadway stage. She’s in it to win it.”

The Kittredge “claw-back” team includes music director Wendy Cavett, whose credits include Mamma Mia!, Hamilton and Come From Away, director Richard Jay-Alexander, a splashy mix of Broadway, pop and more. Musical theatre songwriters represented include Jerry Herman, Stephen Sondheim, Flaherty & Ahrens, Frank Loesser, Maltby & Shire and Kander & Ebb.

Feinstein’s/54 Below is at 254 West 54 Street. There is a $25-$60 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at  www.54below.com    Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00 are only available by calling (646) 476-3551.

More about the singer:
Ann Kittredge has performed at Don’t Tell Mama and the Metropolitan Room in It’s About Time, a cabaret show with a storytelling journey, featuring many of Kittredge’s musical theatre favorites. Reviewer Marilyn Lester opined, “As a child of theatre herself, Kittredge’s It’s About Time (a wonderful double meaning in that title) reflects [her theatrical] roots with a narrative and songs constituting a mini-theatrical. The show is an engaging personal history, filled with a rainbow of emotional expression… By the closing “Unexpected Song” it was apparent that the combination of a pleasing upbeat personality, well-curated songs and an absorbing narrative added up to success for Kittredge’s return to the stage ….and it’s about time.”
