The 2025 Bistro Award Winner (Outstanding Recording for Romantic Notions), vocalist Ann Kittredge, returns to Chelsea Table+Stage with an all-new show, When in Love, on Thursday, May 8 at 7 PM. Musical Director is Christopher Denny on piano, with direction by Barry Kleinbort.

To piano only, the show is an evening of songs devoted to the vagaries of human nature, especially that pesky emotion called “love.” It’s an evening of joyous revelation and heartfelt introspection, the kind of a program that can only be done by… two. Musically diverse , the program offers new treatments of venerable classics such as “Melancholy Baby” and “It Might as Well be Spring,” alongside more contemporary compositions including Ahrens and Flaherty’s “The Human Heart” and Alan Menken and Tim Rice’s “When I Fall in Love,” written for their musical King David in which Kitttredge appeared on Broadway. She will also include a handful of numbers from her latest album, Romantic Notions.

Kittredge has performed on Broadway (King David, A Christmas Carol), Off-Broadway (Dessa Rose, Nunsense, Encores!), TV and film and in concert halls and major venues across the country. Most recently, she appeared as Ruth in 54 Below’s 60th Anniversary concert of High Spirits. Honored with multiple MAC awards, Kittredge has also lately been making waves in the recording industry, with her debut album, reIMAGINE, which won the LaMott-Friedman Award, and with her Bistro-winning second, Romantic Notions, which was named one of the top 10 vocal albums of 2024 by The Broadway Radio Show.

Tickets are $20-40 (plus fees) and there is a $25 food/beverage minimum. To reserve, click here.
