Ann Hampton Callaway Celebrates the Golden Age of Silver Screen Love Songs in “Jazz Goes to the Movies” on Saturday, March 30

On Stage At Kingsborough, a performing arts venue in southern Brooklyn, presents Ann Hampton Callaway on Saturday, March 30 at 8 PM. The singer celebrates the golden age of love songs written for the silver screen, including Vernon Duke’s “Taking a Chance on Love,” Irving Berlin’s “Let’s Face the Music and Dance” and Herman Hupfeld’s classic “As Time Goes By.” Callaway will also perform songs she has recorded for films, including “Come Rain or Come Shine” and “The Nearness of You.” The audience will have a chance to meet Ann Hampton Callaway after the Show.

Callaway is a TONY nominee (Broadway’s Swing!) and Platinum Award winner as well as a composer, whose songs are featured on seven of Barbra Streisand’s CDs. She wrote and sang the theme song for the hit TV series The Nanny and is the only composer to have collaborated with Cole Porter.
