Vocalist Alex de Suze presents her new show Late Bloomer at Don’t Tell Mama on Wednesdays, September 28, October 12 and Saturday, October 15, all at 7 PM. Music director-pianist Tracy Stark is joined by bassists Matt Scharfglass (9/28, 10/12) and Tom Hubbard (10/15), plus drummer Mary Rodriguez. Director is James Beaman.
Late Bloomer also features backing vocals by Sierra Rein, Julie Reyburn and Goldie Dver. Special guest is Richard Binder. De Suze characterizes her show as not just a happening, but a blossoming! The singer will share her story of figuring things out “a little later than most” through favorite songs from Broadway and beyond.
