In town after his transatlantic performances on the Queen Mary 2, the debonair young maestro Alex Mendham and His New Yorkers, a carefully-selected 11-piece orchestra, make their New York City debut on Saturday, July 22 at 7 PM at Chelsea Table + Stage.
Mendham lives and breathes the music of the 1920s and ‘30s, offering tunes from “Midnight, the Stars and You” to the swing classic “Sing, Sing, Sing.” Guest vocalist Allison Young (Postmodern Jukebox) joins the orchestra for the evening, wich also features Mike Davis on trumpet.
