Adam Gwon, a much-produced musical theater writer and songwriter, will see his musical, Ordinary Days, revived by The Keen Company, from October 2 through November 17 at the Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row. Gwon, a recipient of the Kleban Award, the Fred Ebb Award, the Richard Rodgers Award, the Frederick Loewe Award and many others, is also a favorite of cabaret performers, notably Liz Callaway, who featured his work on her album The Essential Liz Callaway.
This production of Ordinary Days has new material written by Gwon and stars Whitney Bashor, Marc delaCruz, Sarah Lynn Marion, and Kyle Sherman. Direction is by Jonathan Silverstein. Ordinary Days celebrates the big impact of a small moment. It’s a musical about making simple connections in a chaotic city, telling the story of four young New Yorkers whose lives intersect in unexpected ways as they search for success, happiness, love, and taxis.
