It’s been quite a year for singer Natalie Douglas, and she’s ready to share the glory of it at her 19th Annual Natalie Douglas New Year’s Eve Bash at the Duplex. With Music Director, Mark Hartman at the piano, Douglas is presiding over two shows in the intimate cabaret space, at 7:30 PM and at 10:45 PM. The early show is a recap of favorite songs, with plenty of stories to celebrate the festive evening. Additionally, at the late show, Douglas will debut new material and entertain with special requests from party-goers.
Not only has Douglas become a tradition and staple of New Year’s Eve in the heart of Greenwich Village, but she brings with her this year even more success; she’s had highly acclaimed performances in 2017, notably at Birdland, among other major venues in the US. Douglas is an eight-time MAC Award winner, a two-time Bistro Award winner, a winner of a Nightlife Award. At the annual Mable Mercer Foundation Cabaret Convention, Douglas received the 2014 Margaret Whiting Award and the 2016 Donald F. Smith Award. Critics have uniformly praised her work. The New York Daily News reported, “When she belts, she’s got enough pipes to outfit a plumber’s convention. The truth is… she’s got everything.” Show Business Weekly said, “Douglas now sings with more power, support and – most importantly – unbridled joy than ever before…amazing.”
