Two legendary Broadway stars, Anita Gillette and Lee Roy Reams, friends for years, unbelievably have never performed together—until Monday, June 13 at the equally legendary Birdland Jazz Club. It was also Reams debut at the club, although he’s performed many cabaret acts in other venues. Both dressed in rousing red, the leading lady and the song-and-dance man were accompanied by Phil Reno on piano as they reminisced and sang. Each had their turn at the mic, as well as offering duets The sum total was a cozy evening with these pals who put together a top-notch production full of show-biz pizzazz.
