According to the partnership, “nothing says romance like music, and nothing is more exquisite than love on a Saturday night! If there is one night during the week when you want — need? — to hear love songs, well, it’s got to be a Saturday night. This romantic evening offers a place to swoon, raise a glass, and maybe share a kiss.” Siegel, creator, host and curator of the series promises to provide the most romantic, the most glorious and most famous of the American Songbook, drawn from Broadway, country, pop, R & B and more. As with all Siegel shows, each cast will be populated with richly talented stars that sing not from the page, but from the soul.
The January 14 cast is John & Matthew Drinkwater (Critically acclaimed twin brother vocalists), John Easterlin (4-time Grammy Award winner, The Phantom of the Opera)
Luke Hawkins (Xanadu, Cirque du Soleil, Carnegie Hall), Ryan Knowles (The Lightning Thief), Jenny Lee Stern (Rocky: The Musical, Forbidden Broadway), Gabrielle Stravelli (Critically acclaimed vocalist) and Michael Winther (Drama Desk nominee, 7 Broadway shows), with music direction by Ron Abel.
